I remember when I was either three or four years old then Uncle Bill came to visit my mom and me. He met us at the park where I was having swimming lessons. The instructor had told us to jump into the water and I remember sinking down with the waterway over my head and having to paddle to the surface as quickly as possible. After that life threatening sensation, seeing Uncle Bill was a pleasant surprise. After that they took me to the Fort Wayne children’s zoo and he watched me ride a pony And at one point the woman conducting the pony rides thought he was my father.
