William “Bill” Thomas VanOsdale, age 92, went to meet his Lord on January 27, 2026, after a brief illness. He was the fourth son of Ralph and Ruth (Brudi) VanOsdale. A graduate of Central High School, he then spent the years from 1953 to 1957 in the Air Force as a Sergeant First Class. William was the past owner of Riverview Apartments, Ramble Inn Restaurant in Huntertown, co-owner of JV Construction, and he retired after 40 years of service with the City of Fort Wayne Street Department.
He was a lifetime member of VFW #857, American Legion Post #82, Eagles #248, Moose Lodge #1480, and the Antique Outboard Motor Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ralph, Robert, and Donald VanOsdale; one sister, Gloria Grubb; his first wife, Ruth Minnick; and his second wife, Bernice Didier. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Campbell VanOsdale, and stepchildren Scott, Tim, and Jeff Campbell, Allison Otting, and Linda Schoenherr.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 4:00–7:00 pm, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home – Pine Valley, 1320 E. Dupont Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46825.
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 11:00 am at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46825, with visitation one hour prior in the church.
