

Angela “Angie” Jenkins, 60, died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at her home in Aurora, TX surrounded by her family. A ‘Celebration of Life’ is scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, September 17, at Aurora Baptist Church in Aurora, TX. Burial will follow at Boyd Cemetery. The family will accept visitors on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel.
Angie was born November 17, 1949 to Howard and Joyce Jenkins of Eunice, NM. She was the founding member of The Jenkins Sisters (and Company) gospel singing ministry and sang all over the United States in the past 25 years. She was a wonderful cook, compassionate friend and devoted sister, daughter, and aunt. She loved serving other people and was dearly loved for her big smile and ability to make everyone feel special.
She was preceded in death by her Dad, Rev. Howard Jenkins.
She is survived by her mother, Joyce Jenkins of Aurora; two brothers, Larry Jenkins and wife, Linda, of Keller, Kendyll Jenkins and wife, Jackie, of Pearl, Miss. four sisters, Judy Gray of Keller, TX, Nella Jenkins of Aurora, Rhonda Hendrix and husband, Robert, of Texarkana, and Tonya McDonald and husband, Shannon, of Grand bay, AL, 11 nieces and nephews, Heather McDonald and husband, Todd, of Grand Bay, Ala., Heath Jenkins of Durango, CO, Jill McCullough and husband, Tommy, of North Richland Hills, Ryan and Ranessa Hendrix of Texarkana, Carlee, Kenzie and Landen Jenkins of Pearl, Miss., Kyle, Keldon and Katelyn McDonald of Grand Bay, AL; five great-nieces and nephews, Courtney and Kristen McDonald and Kylie Jenkins, Drew McCullough and Brady McCullough and an “honorary brother”, Brent Gregg of Argyle, TX.
