Bennie was born December 8, 1940 in Bonham, Texas to Harlan and Imogene Kennedy.
She was an active member of the Elks Lodge, an administrator at W.I. Cook’s Children’s Hospital and a founding member of The Met Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hawkins; daughter, Cindy Ramsey and great-granddaughter, Evie Ramsey
Bennie is survived by her sons, Keith Hawkins and Ken (Robin) Hawkins; son-in-law, Bill Ramsey; grandchildren, Shannon (Rick) Townsley, Billy (Whitney) Ramsey; great-grandchildren, Sam, Emma and Will Townsley; sister, Linda (Hardy) Thomas; nephews, Dan Stacy and Steven Stacy; and numerous Marchant family members and friends.
