

Born September 15, 1931, in Belcher, Louisiana. She lived most of her life in Shreveport, LA.
Bettye loved the Bible, loved playing the piano and wrote many scriptural hymns. Bettye held
over 1,000 copyrights and wrote multiple childrens programs for local Shreveport Church's.
Bettye's father owned a Mercantile store where she worked growing up. Later on she became
an accountant and an accomplished real estate agent earning her GRI.
Bettye was preceded in death by her father, George D. Byrd, her mother, Juanita Stewart Byrd
and her husband, Herman G. (Dutch) Reyenga, who was the love of her life. She is survived by
her son, Steven G. Reyenga and his wife Ruth Ann, her daughter, Martha Jane Reyenga Mann,
her husband Claude Owen Mann, five grandchildren, Steven Jacob Reyenga, Rebecca Ruth
Reyenga Kerr, her husband Jason Kerr, Julie Kristy Mann Nichols, her husband Christopher
Nichols, Rachel Michele Mann, Gerald Daniel Mann and his wife Elizabeth Mann, and five great grandkids Ryder Reyenga, Savannah Reyenga, Brad Mann, Conor Kerr and Bruce Kerr.
Bettye Reyenga will be truly missed by all that knew her, though only for a short time, as we
know one day we will be reunited in Jesus.
