Hawkins Hollings. As a boy, Bill was greatly nurtured by his grandmother who instilled in him the values
of hard work and above all, a love for God.
After graduating from Palo Duro High School, Bill furthered his education in attending DeVry
University in Dallas Texas. Upon graduating many doors would open that allowed him to travel abroad and experience different cultures. After several years Bill returned to the Dallas Ft. Worth metroplex where he accepted the call of God upon his life.
Attending Holy Tabernacle C.O.G.I.C., under the direction of Pastor Robert L. Sample, Bill served faithfully for 19 years. Leading the marriage ministry, the outreach team and the mission’s ministry.
Faithfully answering the call of servitude, Bill preached the uncompromised gospel in the streets,
in nursing homes, and dedicated over two years to the Restoring Hope Ministries. Serving as an ordained minister for 28 years, Bill proved himself to be a good and faithful servant wherever he was planted.
Bill was a devoted husband, father, brother and friend. His beautiful memory will forever be
cherished by his wife Vivian Hollings, his children Roneka, Jocelyn, Audrey, Megan and Ashbea and son-in-law Nickolas. Five grandchildren Alysia, Elijah, Chenanyah, Adayah and Nearyah and siblings Bernard Hollings, Jocelyn Hollings-Arnett, Lanea Hollings, Jeffrey Hollings, Alice (Nafeesah) Hollings-Numan (deceased), Yvette Hollings, and a host of loving nieces, nephews’ relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel, 6001 Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 1:00pm at Holy Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, located at 2800 E. Loop 820 South, Fort Worth, TX 76119. Billy will be laid to rest at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery after a private Graveside Committal Service.
