Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Interment: Covington Cemetery, Covington. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Laurel Land.
Bobby was born Mar. 5, 1929, in Tahoka, Texas, to Otis Medford and Lucille Pierce. Bobby served in the United States Army for seven years. He served four years in Europe and 16 months in the Korean War.
After honorably serving his country, he worked in the sheet metal industry and retired after 33 years. He also met the love of his life Florene Auvenshine and they were married for 57 years. They had five daughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Karen Medford; three brothers, Vernon Medford, Billy Joe Medford and Charles Ray Medford; one sister, Joette Winn; and grandson, Cody Weldon.
Survivors: His wife, Florene; four daughters, Sharon Weldon, Pam Rose, Trish Medford and Paula Medford; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
