

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 10th at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel in Fort Worth with Rev. Chuck Barnes of University Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will be a private ceremony for the family at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery.
Carson was born in Washington, D. C. to Henry A. Smith and Myra J. Smith on March 25, 1953. He married Jeanne Ora Knight on June 18, 1988. He graduated from Belmont University with a BA in English, French, and Secondary Education and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary of Louisville, KY with an MA in Christian Education. He received an ESL endorsement from the University of Texas at Arlington and Mid-Management Certification from the University of North Texas. Carson spent his entire career working for Fort Worth Independent School District.
Carson was a lifelong learner and enjoyed studying languages. He served as a Missionary Journeyman for two years in Senegal, Africa. He subscribed to magazines and cable television programs in both French and Spanish. He enjoyed travelling with his wife and went on several cruises. He was an active member of University Baptist Church of Fort Worth where he loved his Sunday School class and the many lively discussions with friends.
Carson is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeanne, and by his sister Eva (David) Caspar.
He is survived by sisters Betty (Robert) Hyers of Harwood, MD; Sarah (Melvin) Ogle of Arlington, TX; Doris Duvall of Lusby, MD; and brother Henry (Eileen) Smith of Estero, FL; and by sister-in-law Susan (Ronny) Popham of Fort Worth, TX. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
