The patriarch of the family, our hero and leader, was a kind, loving and extraordinary husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Charles was a 3rd generation Everman resident and was a lifelong farmer and rancher. His family was instrumental in the establishment of the Everman Cemetery where he will be laid to rest. He took great pride and made managing the cemetery his priority with great diligence. He was a servant and advocate of his community where he was involved in many of the civic affairs and help to build the first fire station in Everman, and had formally served as Fire Chief.
He was also an architect by trade, building custom homes and developed the Chambers Creek addition in Everman. Charles worked for the Star Telegram for several years and then built and was the owner and operator of the Cross Roads Drive In & Feed Store in Everman for the past 39 years.
Charles was a 50 year member of Deer Creek Masonic Lodge #510 in Everman. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and fought in the Korean War.
