Charlie was born in Hamilton County, Texas to Alfred and Lena Christianson on March 18, 1933. Charlie was a woman of great faith, a big heart and a devotion like none other to her family. Charlie was a member of St Paul UMC for 50 yrs before it’s closing at which time she transferred her membership to Edge Park United Methodist Church. Charlie has been a devoted and loved member of that congregation for 15 yrs.
Always busy, Charlie could be found working in her yard, cooking a wonderful meal or, spending time with the ones that mattered the most to her, her family and friends. Charlie always looked forward to her “Friday Night Gang” where her oldest and dearest friends shared meals, laughs and games.
Charlie is preceded in death by her beloved husband Cecil Krueger, her parents, her only sibling Mildred Kauitzsch and brother-in-law Cecil.
She is survived by her children Kathey Youngblood (Scott), Mary Kay Krueger, Kevin Krueger (Jane), Charles “Chuck” Krueger (Donna), eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, as well as many other family members and friends.
She is already dearly missed.
A celebration of Charlie’s life will be held at Edge Park United Methodist Church in Fort Worth, Texas on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.
Following the service please join the family for visitation where in true Charlie fashion we’ll enjoy some cookies, a cup of coffee, and conversations.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the kitchen remodel fund at Edge Park United Methodist Church where she spent so much of her time serving God and loving others.
