

Daniel Radcliffe Bristol passed away on December 9th at his home in Niceville, Florida surrounded by his family. Dan was born in San Antonio to Radcliffe Wright Bristol and Anita Minerva (Daniel) Bristol.
Dan grew up in Pottstown, Pennsylvania where his father was a faculty member at The Hill School.
After graduating from The Hill School in 1949, he studied economics at Hobart College in Geneva, New York from 1949 until he entered the Air Force in 1952. He served four years in aircraft maintenance servicing the B-36 Peacemaker.
While stationed at Carswell AFB, Texas, he met and married Cleo Maxine Crownover in September of 1955. They resided in Fort Worth, and then Burleson, Texas for a combined 60 years. After service with the Air Force, he began a career as a Registered Professional Assessor for the City of Fort Worth. He worked for the City of Fort Worth and subsequently, the Tarrant Appraisal District until his retirement in 1995.
Dan served as the Scoutmaster of Troop 42 in the Longhorn Council for three years. He helped several young men attain the rank of Eagle Scout. His love of the outdoors extended into retirement with camping trips and excursions out west. Baptist by faith, he served as a Deacon at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. Later on, he was a member of Sublett Road Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Cleo; his son Ken (Pam) Bristol, grandsons Jarret (Jamie) and Daniel (Kacy) Bristol; granddaughter Mikayla Bristol; and great-grandchildren AveryJames, Veda, and Ripken.
Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Home in Fort Worth is trusted with the arrangements. Service will be Thursday, December 16th at 10:00 AM. Brother Bill Morrow, officiating.
Burial to be held at Laurel Land Cemetery in Fort Worth.
