WATAUGA -- David Charles Ferguson, 71, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes. David was a skilled industrial pattern maker, owning his own shop for 38 years. He loved to fish, and he enjoyed many days out on the lake with his family. He attended the Legacy Church of Christ. David lived his life guided by a strong work ethic and uncompromising integrity. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Benji Munoz; mother, Bonnie Ferguson; and sister, Margaret Chae. Survivors: David is survived by his wife, Alice Ferguson; children, Curtis Gonzales, Amy Douglas, Rebecca Viola and Kimberly Romero; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; father, Frank Ferguson; and sisters, Rosemary Clair and Linda Ferguson.
