

Dolma Jean Jackson affectionately known as Aunt Dolma Jean, NaNa and Monk ( In her younger days) was born to Edd and Mary Gray on February 1, 1940 in Carthage,Texas. She pursued a successful career at Everman ISD for 30+ years as a cook. Dolma was totally dedicated to The Almighty God. Her passion for cooking was an unparalleled God given talent. In her free time, she loved doing special things for her family and others, especially making her Chicken Spaghetti that everyone love.
Dolma Jean Jackson passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents , Edd and Mary Gray , her siblings Betty Kent , Bernard Gray , Genell Edwards, Rev Buna E Gray , Arna Dean Booker, Jeanette Jackson, John R Gray and Great Granddaughters Brielle L Rowe. She leaves Behind to cherish her memories ; Her son , Amos Jackson (Linda) , Daughter , Shanta Jackson, 5 Grandsons , 1 Granddaughter , 8 Great Grandchildren and a host of Nieces, Nephews , Cousins and Friends.
While we will miss Mrs. Dolma Jean Jackson dearly, let's honor her memory by embracing life with the same enthusiasm she did. Be kind to everyone, Help everyone, laugh, share stories, and cherish the memories we have of her. Dolma Jean, thank you for the joy you brought into our lives. We love you, and we will carry your spirit with us. Up until the end Dolma Jean maintained her kindness, grace, compassion, appreciation of beauty, love of her family and friends, and expressed gratitude for her long life, full of wonderful and varied experiences. Dolma’s life can best be encapsulated by four "F" words: Family, Friends, Food and Fun. In her 85 years here with us she experienced an abundance of each.
Family: Dolma spent most of her life in Fort Worth living with her daughter Shanta Jackson and grandchildren and later with her son Amos Jackson Jr. and his wife Linda where she felt very loved and supported. She had close relationships with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins.
