Funeral services for Dorothy Dean Jump, 81, Arlington,TX, will be 2 pm Saturday, March 31 at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Interment to follow at Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm, Friday, at the funeral home.
Dorothy passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012, in Arlington Memorial Hospice.
Dorothy was born November 24, 1930 in the Sand Hills of Oklahoma to George and Leoma Jones. She graduated from Sterling High School in 1948. Throughout her life she held various job positions that included picking cotton, waitress, data processor for Texas Oil & Gas Company, data entry for a bank, several years for Clothworld, and retired from Hancock's Fabric. She was a master seamstress after her retirement and a full time Mema to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include a son: Curtis Jump and wife Bonnie, Oklahoma City; three daughters: Charlotte Taylor and husband Terry of Grand Prairie, TX, Cynthia Barton, Weatherford, TX and Cecilia Harsch and husband Johnny, Fort Worth, TX; two brothers: Gene Jones and George Jones; a sister: Rose Elaine Lovett; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
