

Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at Shannon Rose Hill Chapel. Brother Darryl Crawford, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Larry Caddell. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born in Fort Worth on Aug. 2, 1925, to Marjorie Vonida and Arthur Samuel Spray. She grew up on the north side of Fort Worth and attended Central High School. She lived most of her life in Fort Worth with some years in between spent in western Maryland and Pittsburgh, Pa. A homemaker all her life, she married Bonnie B. McCauley in 1942. They had two children before his untimely death at the age of 25, two years after returning from serving in the Pacific in World War II. She subsequently married the Rev. W.E. Rayner and they had three children. They enjoyed traveling the country, and she especially loved visiting anywhere near the ocean. After 15 years of widowhood, she married O.P. Coleman in 2010, and they had a wonderful time before his death. Dorothy was a longtime member of Life Fellowship Church in Hurst.
Survivors: Sons, Dennis P. McCauley and wife, Jolene, and James W. Rayner and wife, Carrie, all of Fort Worth; daughters, Carolyn Ann Johnson of Fort Worth, Jane Berry of Coppell and Robin Caddell and husband Larry of Melbourne, Fla.; stepdaughter, Phyllis Stanley and husband, Ronnie, of Parkersburg, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a devoted family member, Kathleen Rayner.
