

Earnest was born on September 14, 1940 to Lloyd and Lurlen Wilks in Tyler, TX. He was 1 of 13 children. Earnest matriculated through the Tyler Independent School District before making Fort Worth, TX. his home.
Earnest loved being around his family, especially his sisters and brothers. He was very low key and could often be seen sitting on the porch talking on the phone. Earnest was a member of the Fort Worth Circle LS Horse Riding Club and the Cobra Motorcycle Club of Grand Prairie, TX. Earnest enjoyed being a supervisor with PVI Industries and after retirement, he spent his free time fishing, riding horses, shooting pool and riding on his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He also enjoyed listening to the Blues and Jazz.
Earnest was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Lurlen, brothers Carl Williams, Arthur Davis, John Davis and Robert Phillips. Those left to cherish his life lessons of how to love and to always look out for others is his sisters: Dorothy Williams, Ruby Alford, Shirley Ann Ross, Diane Nichols, Doris Davis,
Latricia Davis and Dorothy Flemmons, his brothers Jessie Davis and Joseph Davis. His children Karen Wilks-Boone (Samuel), Raquel Dixon, Natasha Robinson, Earnest Wilks and Craig Dixon (Pearlethea) along with his special friend, Mary Robinson, his special grandson and caretaker Corey Boone (Cindy), other caretakers, Carolyn Criss and James Canady, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
