There will be a private memorial with family members.
Eleanor V. Kirk was born in Brooklyn, NY. to Peter and Anna Beckerman on June 22, 1921. She went to school in Brooklyn, NY, and graduated High School there. She married George P. Kirk in New York City. She Later worked for the US War Department (Army) as a Code Breaker during WWII. Eleanor was one of 10,000 women who worked behind the scenes of WWII while her husband was deployed in Normandy.
She was a fun loving, kind and loving person. She made everyone feel special.
In addition to her husband George and beloved Daughter Karen, she survived many of her dear friends and relatives. She is survived by her son’s Jeffrey A. Kirk and Christopher J. Kirk, their spouses, grand children and as well as great grandchildren.
The family wishes to express our gratitude to her granddaughter Jill Paolella for all her kindness and care as a primary care giver for the last 27 years.
