Betty was born Nov. 14, 1920, in Athens, Ga., to Oscar Williams Davison and Eliza Bright Davison, and moved with her family to Fort Worth as a young child. She graduated from Paschal High School and attended Texas Christian University. She married Charlie R. McCrary Jr. in 1940. During the war years, she worked at what was then Globe Aircraft Co. She later worked in retail. After retiring in 1999, she enjoyed traveling. With a love of music, Betty was a member of the singing and dancing ensembles in the original 1936 Casa Manana and was active in a number of local singing groups, sang in numerous church choirs and was a former member of the Symphony League. She volunteered at local hospitals and at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband; brother, Oscar W. Davison Jr.; son, Charles R. McCrary; and son-in-law, Glen Williams.
Survivors: Daughters, Joan Rutledge-Robinson and Carol Williams; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
