

Ms. Ethel LaRue Hardgraves Macon was born on September 25, 1935, to the parentage of Willie Hue and JoWee Hardgraves in the city of Fort Worth, Texas.
She received her education in the Fort Worth Independent School District. Ethel also attended Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas.
At an early age, she dedicated her life to Christ at Allen Chapel AME Church and Immanuel AME Church. Later, she would join Carter Metropolitan CME Church. Ethel was a dedicated employee of the City of Fort Worth Police Department as a dispatcher for 14 years before retiring in 1994.
On Saturday, July 9, 2022, Ms. Ethel Macon went home to be with the Lord. She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Hue and JoWee Hardgraves; son; Danny Kaye Macon, brothers; Willie Hardgraves and Gerald Hardgraves, sisters; Shirley Hardgraves Adams, Willie Jo Hardgraves O’Neal, and Brenda Joyce Hardgraves.
Those left to cherish her memories are son, Michael Ray Macon of Fort Worth, Texas, sisters; Annie Frank Smith of Arlington, Texas and Jacalyn Latryl Boone and husband Cleo of Dallas, Texas, granddaughter; Akia Watkins and husband Tony of Pearland, Texas, grandsons Daxton Macon and wife, Kameshia of Fort Worth, Texas and Brandon Timms of Fort Worth, Texas, special niece and nephew Dana Latryl Hardgraves and Kyden Clayborne of Fort Worth, Texas, brother-in-law Dr. Ambrose Adams Sr of Fort Worth, Texas and sister-in-law; Shirley Hardgraves of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, special friend; Joe Jones of Fort Worth, Texas, five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and special friends.
