Frank G Ramirez

Frank G. Ramirez, age 87, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023. Frank was born August 11, 1935 in Norheim, Texas to parents Gino and Blasa Ramirez. He was the second oldest of nine children having one older sister, five younger sisters, and two younger brothers.

Frank married Ilma Villafranco on September 22, 1957 and they shared 65 wonderful years together. They had four children, Frank Jr. (Sandra), Barbara Sotello (Roland), Jerry Ramirez and Gino Ramirez (Brenda).

Frank had several careers over the years including ranching, driving a truck , working at a market, building campers along with a brother and brother-in-law, working for companies like Lennox, and ending his career in the oil and gas industry.

Frank loved playing ball with his sons, especially baseball, hunting and fishing in his younger years, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, especially Roger Staubach, when they were good, later cheering with Ilma for the Texas Rangers, watching old westerns on television, gardening with his family, eating the wonderful meals cooked by Ilma, and being a grandfather to eleven grandchildren and a great grandfather to twelve great grandchildren.

Frank was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Ilma Ramirez, his parents, Gino and Blasa Ramirez, siblings, Maria Soto, Adelina Ruiz, Augustine Ramirez, Pedro Ramirez, and Jane Carillo.

Those who remain to cherish his memory and continue his legacy are son, Frank Ramirez Jr. and wife, Sandra, daughter, Barbara Sotello and husband Roland, son, Jerry Ramirez, son, Gino Ramirez and wife Brenda, grandchildren, Randy, Kristy, Marissa, Jonathan, Joshua, Samantha, Michael, Melissa, Jessica, Alex, and Caleb, great grandchildren, Mason, Maverick, Montgomery, Sedona, Violet, Bear, Wednesday, Josie, Jase, Korie, Kynnlei, Noah, and Baby Avelino (Pollito) due in October, sisters, Sara Montez, Paula Garcia, and Blanca, many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and dear friends.

A visitation for Frank will be held Friday, August 18, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Laurel Land FH - Ft Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134. A committal service will occur Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Laurel Land Memorial Park - FW, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134.
