Gayle L Wood Roberts

Service: 11 a.m. Friday at Southcliff Baptist Church, 4100 SW Loop 820, Fort Worth. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel.

Gayle was born July 30, 1943, in Fort Worth to Elmer Addison and Willie Ruth Poole Hunt. She was a graduate of Paschal High School. In 1963, she married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Gary Wood. They were married 35 years until his death in 1998.

God brought another wonderful man, Terry Roberts, into her life, and they married in 2007. They were married six years until his passing in 2013.

Gayle was a stay-at-home mom, then worked for State Farm for over 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She treasured time with and was very proud of her five grandchildren. She served in many capacities at Southcliff Baptist Church including teaching Youth Sunday school and more recently reading with struggling students at a local elementary school.

Survivors: Gayle will be remembered by her daughter, Angela Partin and husband, David; daughter, Gina Trammel and husband, Shane; grandchildren, PFC. Michael Partin and Ethan, Nicholas, Zoe, and Myla Trammel; sister, Kaye Hobbs and husband, David; brother-in-law, Larry Wood and wife, Sharon; and many other loving family members and friends.

Also dear to her heart were Terry Roberts' children, Dr. Melissa Becker, Jennifer Smith, Master Sgt. Jason Roberts; in-laws, Becky Scott and Jack Wilkins, Wanda Watson, Tommy and Dee Glenn, Linda and Gary Palmer; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
