Horace graduated from Paschal High School, and went on to earn his Bachelors in Accounting from Texas Christian University. He then married the love of his life, Clara Streng at St. Andrews Church in Fort Worth, July 7, 1973. They shared 52 loving years together. Horace had a successful career as an accountant and CPA, while working at Southland Royalty.
He was a member of the St. Andrews Parish council and served on the school board for their elementary school as well. Horace enjoyed watching TCU football and tinkering on cars.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Lilly Brown, and sisters Shirley and Nina Sue.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Clara Brown, son Brian and his wife Marlo Brown of Plano, Texas; grandson John Charles "Charlie" Brown, several nieces and nephews including Tim Tracy, M.D., and Matt Tracy.
