Harold was born September 5, 1930 in Fort Worth, Texas. He grew up as an only child of a grocery store family in Fort Worth, Texas. He was proud of his upbringing and told many stories of his family’s store during The Great Depression.
He married the love of his life, Doris in 1948. They were happily married for 69 years.
After his military service during the Korean War, he returned home to Fort Worth where he raised his three daughters and began working for General Dynamics which then became Lockheed Martin as a plant manager.
He was blessed to lived and traveled all over the world with his wife Doris by his side.
Harold was predeceased by his wife Doris Wayland and two of his daughters Carolyn Wayland and Sandra Wayland Gaither.
He is survived by his daughter Linda (Wayland) and son in law Steven Condit, his three grandchildren Patrick and his wife Angie Gaither, Kenneth Condit, and Meagan and her husband Tony Rogers.
Harold was also survived by three great grandchildren.
A graveside service for Harold will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Laurel Land Memorial Park - FW, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134.
