Ira Wayne Seals

Ira “Wayne” Seals, born in Eldorado, IL on November 10, 1948, unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on January 3, 2024. Wayne, a long time Fort Worth resident, proudly served with the city of Fort Worth as a police officer in his earlier career. Wayne was subsequently employed by the Fort Worth Water Department until his retirement in 2004. Wayne will be remembered by family and friends as a very caring and generous man who always wanted to help others. He gave to many and he expected nothing in return.

Wayne was a family man and dearly loved his children and grandchildren. Wayne’s family enjoyed spending time with him because of his welcoming and easygoing personality as well as his amusing sense of humor. Wayne was one of those rare and special individuals that was always there for his family and friends and he did not pass judgment on anyone. He will be deeply missed.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father Ira Seals, mother and step-father, Robert and Betty Herring, three sisters and his son, Cody Wayne Seals. Left to cherish his memory are his son Chad Seals, daughter Kim Seals DeLeon and her husband Jeremy DeLeon, stepson Christopher Linton, and two grandchildren Spencer and Tori.
