He was born in Gate City, Virginia to Rosie Dove Collins and Everett Lee Alley on April 20, 1928. Jackson was a graduate of Shoemaker High School. He married Doris on December 21, 1949 in Fort Worth.
Jackson served our country honorably in the United States Air Force and later dedicated his life to serving his community as a fireman for the City of Fort Worth until his retirement. He was a member of Retta Baptist Church and had a passion for gardening and traveling in his R.V.
Those preceding him in death are his wife, daughter, Kathy Haynes, parents, one brother and two sisters.
Jackson is survived by daughter Judy Irwin and her husband Rickie; son-in-law, Doug Haynes; grandchildren, Angela Goodhand, Amy McBride and husband Justin, Chad Irwin and wife Angela, Cody Irwin, Chris Haynes and wife Courtney, Melinda Shipman and husband Terry; 8 great grandchildren and other family members and friends.
