

Born on November 20th, 1943 in Camille, Georgia to Rufus and Amanda Bennett, James was raised in Brooklyn, New York where he attended and graduated with honors at the East New York Aviation High School. James followed his dreams to be in the Air Force where he served 4 years.
For those whom new James, he was an honest, loyal man with plenty of wisdom and knowledge to share and give. He was a dedicated hard working man whom held 2 jobs his whole life. He retired from Pan American Airways after 28 years of service in management. He enjoyed sports, fishing, but most importantly, just hanging out with his loved ones. He will be love and missed by many.
James is survived by his wife Virginia Bennett, daughter Genise Bennett, daughter-in-law Sandy Bennett, and two sons Stanley Bennett and Kendall Bennett, Sr. He is also survived by his 5 grandkids Matthew, Micheal, Nicole, Kendall, Jr., and Jordan James Bennett whom he loved deeply and dearly. His 3 sisters Hatic, Doris, and Regina, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The viewing will be at 6:00 p.m. at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth, Texas on January 4th, 2020. He will be honored at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas the following morning, January 5th, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. with his family and friends.
