

During his high school years, Jimmy was a passionate baseball player and later went on to play for a minor league team. His love for the game was just one of the many things that defined his vibrant spirit.
Jimmy dedicated over 30 years to the auto industry, retiring in 2017 while working at O’Reilly Auto Parts. His work ethic and dedication left a lasting impression.
Outside of work, Jimmy found joy in spending time with family—especially during birthdays and vacations. He also enjoyed golfing, traveling, cooking, and cheering on his favorite teams: the Dallas Cowboys and the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Sara Woods ; father, William Carter; and brother, Charles “Chuck” Carter.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer Carter; daughter, Shannan Carter; stepdaughter, Ashlee Carr and husband Brent Carr; and six cherished grandchildren: Jaelyn, Olivia, Kali, Hendrix, Zane, and Kash. He also leaves behind his brothers, Michael Carter and William “Buddy” Carter and wife Pam Carter along with many dear nieces and nephews.
Jimmy will be forever loved and deeply missed by all who knew him.
