

She was born in Amarillo, TX. Her mother, Esther, moved to Dallas with her brother Frank “Tim” when she was six after the death of her father. Jane graduated from Highland Park High School and attended Southern Methodist University. She accepted Christ as her Savior as a teenager through the organization YoungLife.
She met her husband, Richard H. “Dick” Wagley at SMU. They were married in 1958 and were together 44 years at the time of his death. They had three children, Jane, Richard and Nick.
The family moved to Granbury, TX in 1972. She enjoyed volunteering with multiple community organizations. She helped organize the July 4th Parade, the Candlelight Tour of Home each December and other celebrations. Dick and Jane also opened their home to host young adults from traveling organizations such as Up With People and youth church choirs.
Jane was a proud member of the First United Methodist Church of Granbury and the Friendship class where she developed many lasting friendships.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dick; her parents Francis and Esther (Sloan) McLain; daughter Laura Jane (Wagley) Middlesworth of Granbury; son James Nick Wagley of Bedford; brother Frank McLain of Dallas, TX; grandsons Richard Middlesworth of Wichita Falls, TX and Kyle Wagley of Clarksville, TN.
She is survived by son Richard Wagley, daughter-in-law Sherry Wagley of Azle, TX; special niece Patty Lou Lawlis and her family in Gig Harbor, WA and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nephews nieces and their families.
