Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel.
Jeanne was born in Fort Worth on Nov. 30, 1949. In 1967, she graduated from Eastern Hills High School. Later, she received a B.S degree from Texas Wesleyan and a master's degree from Texas Christian University. She married Carson Smith on June 18, 1988.
Jeanne had a career in elementary education. After teaching in Brownsville for two years, she served as teacher and administrator in the Fort Worth ISD, and was principal at Bill J. Elliot and Lowery Road Elementary schools. She had membership in professional organizations, The DAR and University Baptist Church of Fort Worth. She had a passion for Southern Gospel music, calligraphy, and many various artistic endeavors.
Survivors: She is survived by her husband, Carson Smith of Fort Worth; sister,; Susan Pieper of Longview; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
