Mr. Jeffrey Wayne Scott

Jeffrey Wayne Scott was born July 24, 1965, in Alexandria Louisiana to the late Earnest Scott Sr. and Billie Jean Glasper. He was the youngest of three children.

He was baptized at an early age and joined First Union Missionary Baptist Church (renamed First Union Historic Baptist Church) in Alexandria Louisiana where he was an active member. He attended Peabody Elementary, Jones Street Junior High, and graduated from Peabody High School in 1983.

He was employed with various companies including Mervyn’s, Footlocker, Foot Action and Kinney’s Shoes, prior to becoming an entrepreneur and opening Scott’s Shoes and Apparel. He was employed at FedEx Corp prior to becoming ill.

Jeffrey (Wayne) and Roshuane were married in August of 1995 and shared a bond of love and friendship that lasted over three decades. He was a devoted husband, and they would frequently travel the world to places such as (France, Italy, and Mexico). He and his wife were avid New Orleans Saints fans and would frequently dress alike in their Saints gear (or attire). He was full of life and loved music, as well as spending time with family and friends. He cherished his mom and would spend many hours laughing “his signature laugh,” joking, and talking with her daily.

On November 6, 2025, he stepped into the arms of our Lord and Savior and transitioned peacefully after a prolonged illness. Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Roshuane Scott of Arlington, TX; mom Billie Glasper of Alexandria, La; one brother, Earnest Scott Jr. (Shirley) of Alexandria, La; one sister, Cheryl Thomas of Atlanta GA; Uncles, Willie Glasper (Barbara) of Alexandria, La, Isreal Scott (Yvonne) of Houston TX; in-laws Mary Greene of Fort Worth, TX; Douglas Greene I of Fort Worth, TX; brother in law, Douglas Greene II of Fort Worth Texas; Nieces and Nephews , Kenneth Allen (Britttany) of Layfette, La, Chelsee Scott of Layfette La, Michael Thomas, Jr. (Chrishalon) of Atlanta, GA; Eren Scott( Kianna) of Tampa, FL, Brianna Scott of Alexandria, La; Breann Scott of Alexandria , La; Paige Allums (Courtney) of Fort Worth, TX; DeKamen Greene of Fort Worth, TX; Kyndhal Harris of Irving, TX along with a host of cousins, great-nephews, great nieces, and lifelong friends.
