

Joe Edward Jackson was born, January 30, 1948 in Jefferson, Texas. He was born unto the parentage of Lewis Charles Jackson "Big daddy" and Ethel Mae Jackson "Big Mama". Joe Edward Jackson passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025. He was Baptist at an early age in Jefferson, Texas. He attended Central Jr. High School. He played football during his high school years.
Joe Jackson enlisted at an early age to serve in the United States Army during Vietnam War to provide for his family. He traveled to multiple countries such as Germany and South Korea where he met the love of his life Kim Yong in 1974.
Retired from the Army Joe Jackson married Kim Yong Jackson and moved to Fort Worth, Texas.
Joe was employed as a Security Officer, Wet n Wild, Harris Methodist Hospital and Workforce Center, later he retired to enjoy his grandkids, his pride and joy Lyriss Byrd & wife.
His hobbies were riding his Harley Davidson and watching the Cowboys play football. He loved wearing his all-black Cowboy hat and listening to country music classic like Randy Travis, George Strait, Tina Turner and Michael Jackson.
Joe was one of Fifthteen children. He is preceded in death by; his parents, Charles and Ethel Jackson; his siblings; Verlin Jackson, Arnold Jackson, Willie Jackson ,Milton Jackson, Johnny Lee Jackson, Thurmond Jackson, Lewis C. Jackson, Cleveland Jackson, Betty Jean, Ritha Mae, Mildred Smith, Lucy Mae
Joe's memory will forever be in the hearts of his wife, Kim Yong Jackson; sons, Darrell Byrd Jackson, James Byrd, Mark Jackson and Timothy Ross (God Son); grandchildren, Sharice Byrd Lewis, James Byrd, Jr., Zari Byrd, Kiana Byrd, Dangelo Byrd, Randy Hamilton, III, Terryl Byrd and Lyriss Byrd; great grandchildren, Mariah Manning, Tyler Manning, Iela Wilson, Kah Byrd, James Byrd, III and Sophia Lewis; siblings, Shirley Marie Cano (David) of Fort Worth, Texas, and Rose Mary Jarrett of Fort Worth, Texas.
