John Hoffer retired from a 20 year career in the US Air Force. After his military career, he became a Division Manager for Electrolux Corporation, owned a restaurant and a service station before retiring. John was an excellent cook and enjoyed barbecuing. John loved playing and watching golf, the Dallas Cowboys and College Football.
He Is survived by his wife of 65 years, Winnie Kay Hoffer; son Michael J. Hoffer and wife Brenda G. Hoffer; daughter Cheryl L. Reed and husband Don Reed; sisters Eunice Lohr and Gail; brother; Allen Hoffer; grandchildren Jeffrey Ogle, Lauren Allen, step grandchildren Cody and Clayton Reed. Great grandchildren Jeffrey Ogle Jr., Lily Ogle, Pyper Ogle and Sadie Rodden.
Preceded in death by daughter Donna Griffit.
Visitation: Thursday, August 16 2018 from 6-8 pm at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
Service: Friday at 3pm in Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes.
