Judy Campbell Pitts Few, “Nana”, entered heaven’s gates Wednesday morning, Sept. 25, 2013. Her 68 years were full of an unwavering faith in Christ, immeasurable love of her family, and an endearing quality of compassion to those who were graced with her friendship. Her faith was always expressed through her love of music, especially Southern Gospel Quartet four-part harmony. A member of Messiah Baptist Church & choir and the GoldTones, she knew music was her testimony. She now has a pain-free body, is breathing heaven’s glorious air, and singing in God’s choir.
Her job title in life was administrative assistant, but her legacy in life was and will always be Momma, Nana, and Aunt Judy.
She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Florence Campbell, brother Eric Campbell, and her husband and soul mate Ernie Few.
Survivors: sons, Jimmy (Bo) Pitts and wife Liz, Andy Pitts and wife Eli, and Monty Pitts; siblings, David Lowery and Betty Perry; granddaughters, Taylor, Kayla, and Jessica; great-grandsons Ace Bowen and Peyton; and dozens of nieces and nephews. Sadie and Elvis miss you.
A celebration of her life will be Saturday, 5 Oct, 10:00 a.m., Shannon’s Funeral Home, 6001 Rufe Snow Dr., Fort Worth. Anyone wishing to make donations in lieu of flowers may contribute to Messiah Baptist Church or the GoldTones.
