Service: 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel in Fort Worth. Visitation: the family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
He was born in March 1929 in Fort Worth to Joseph B. Worthington and Jossie T. Worthington. As a young person, he had his name written in the Lamb's Book of Life, not by works of righteousness he had done, but by the grace of God and the atoning blood of Jesus Christ.
Mr. Worthington served in the U.S. Air Force. He operated his business for over 50 years in Fort Worth. He was a member of Hallmark Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mary Lynn Worthington, on May 29, 2006.
Survivors: Daughter, Julia Worthington and husband, Bill Warden, daughter, Susan Shaver and husband, Brent; son, Russell Worthington; and grandchildren, Zachary Timmons and wife, Jessica, Derek Worthington and Amanda Taetz and husband, Matt.
