

Karen Lynn Branam is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years, George Harold Branam; daughter, Rhonda Lynn Davenport; two grandsons, Jamie Stark and James Davenport. Five step-children: Vicki Grady, Ronnie Branam, Jill and Jerry Neustupa, Allen and Lisa Branam, George and Suzie Branam. Numerous grandkids, great-grandkids, and great-great-grandchildren that she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl Edward Alley, Mary Belle Alley, and her son, Rodney Lewis Stark.
Karen Lynn was born to parents Carl Edwards and Mary Belle Alley on April 21, 1938, in Vernon, Texas. She graduated from Castleberry High School.
Karen was an extraordinary family woman and devoted wife. Karen was a genuine and caring woman who was a firm believer in Jesus Christ. Karen was a very unique lady exhibiting grace and kindness like no other. Although small in stature, her heart was big enough to love everyone she knew. She displayed a passion for gardening and getting her hands dirty working in the yard. Onlookers could easily take notice of Karen and George’s hard work, often finding joy and peace while observing the beauty of their yard. Karen was affectionately known as a shining light in the lives of all who knew her. Her journey on Earth was marked by love, compassion, empathy, kindness, and unwavering faith in God. Additionally, Karen enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends and family.
Upon graduation, Karen started her career as a secretary and obtained experience at General Motors and Texas Instruments. Afterwards, she acquired a position at Central Freight Lines as a human resource specialist for 26 years. During this time, Karen met George Branam, the love of her life, resulting in a wonderful marriage lasting 36 years.
Moreover, those who knew Karen will remember her due to her irresistible smile and astounding laughter, deeply-rooted faith in Jesus Christ, and unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to others.
Loved ones will always remember her as “Nannie,” a compassionate and empathetic person. Many people say that Karen was the sweetest and nicest person that one could ever meet.
A visitation for Karen will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Shannon Rufe Snow Drive Funeral C, 6001 Rufe Snow Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76148. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 10:00 AM, 6001 Rufe Snow Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76148. A burial to follow service will occur Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Grove Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.
