

Katelyn Reanah Hales was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, niece and friend. Katelyn left this world on March 30, 2019. Her life was a living example of love and compassion for her family and friends. Katelyn was a defender of anyone she felt was wronged. She was the kindest person you could ever meet. Katelyn lived life to its fullest and gave everything she could to her husband and daughter. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Katelyn, for no matter what length of time, lost a shining light in their lives.
Katelyn R. Hales (“Kate”) was born October 9, 1988, in Fort Worth, Texas to Donald and Donna Gilley. Kate was a shining star. Family meant the world to her, and she truly loved her family and friends.
Kate graduated from Burleson High School in 2007, where she served as an athletic trainer, and was employed by GM Financial in Arlington, Texas. Kate married her best friend and love of her life Joseph Hales (“Joey”) on April 2, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Donald Gilley Sr., Harold and Dorothy (“Granny”) Smith, and Wayne and Elizabeth Yarborough.
She leaves behind her devoted husband Joey Hales, their daughter Lexi Hales, her parents Donald and Donna Gilley of Burleson. Her brother Ryan Gilley and wife Alicia of Fort Worth and nephews Andrew Wilkerson and Connor Gilley. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a very special Aunt Susie whom she loved dearly.
Please join us in celebrating her life at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76134. Friends and family are invited to visit with the Hales and Gilley family at Laurel Land from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2019.
