Larry was born on July 31, 1946, in Fort Worth, where he enjoyed growing up as one of four brothers. He was retired from the insurance industry, and was an avid woodworker and tinkerer. He was also an active playmate and care giver to his two grandchildren.
Graveside services and interment will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Shep Strong will officiate, with opening and closing comments delivered by Christian Meymarian and Carl Cathey.
He was preceded in death by his wife Caren Armstrong, of DeSoto, his parents Lawrence and Addleen Armstrong, of Fort Worth, his in laws Arlan and Bennie Tate, of Dallas, and his brother in law Brian Tate, of North Richland Hills.
He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Allyson and Christopher Harrison of Dallas, his grandchildren Addleen “Addy” and Christian Harrison, his brothers and sisters in law Thomas “Tom” and Barbara Armstrong of Fort Worth, William “Bill” and Leslie Armstrong of Waxahachie, and Manley and Karlyn Armstrong of Lake Geneva, WI. He is also survived by his brother in law and sister in law Steven and Deonnah Tate, of North Richland Hills, as well as many nieces and nephews in the DFW area.
