Leon L. (Trey) Lewis III

He was born in Fort Worth, Texas on May 3, 1963. Trey graduated from Weatherford High School and had lived in Weatherford for over 50 years.

Beginning his lifelong career in landscaping at just 15 years old, Trey was dedicated to his work. He was also passionate about writing poetry and songs, enjoyed performing karaoke, mostly Willie Nelson music, and loved being surrounded by his family and friends. Trey did not have a lot of patience but did have a very caring and generous heart and never met a stranger. He loved being the life of the party and making people laugh.

Trey was preceded in death by his father, Lynn Lewis, in August of 2022. He is survived by his mother, Mary Lewis of Fort Worth, daughters Elizabeth and Jesse Rudolf of St. Paul, Nebraska and Tovah Lewis and fiance Chandler Smith of Weatherford, Texas. Also survived by two grandsons, J.D. and Bowen Rudolf of St. Paul, Nebraska. Trey is survived by his brother, John Reed (Bubba) Lewis of Glenn Heights, Texas. Also survived by two nieces, one nephew and numerous close cousins.

A funeral service will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, located at 7100 Crowley Rd, Fort Worth, TX, 76134, US. The service is scheduled for February 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

Donations can be made in memory of Trey to the Women's Center of Tarrant County.
