Pat joined the U.S. Air Force in 1954. After navigator training, he was assigned to Carswell AFB in the B-36, later transitioning to the B-52. He proudly flew the first combat missions out of Guam for the Vietnam War in 1966, and in 1968 flew 146 combat missions in the EC-47 out of Na Trang Air Force Base in Vietnam. Before retiring from the Air Force in 1974, he became a senior master navigator. Pat earned many awards and commendations while serving, including the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with seven oakleaf clusters, and the Presidential Unit Citation. He ended his USAF career as deputy representative at General Dynamics in Fort Worth.
Pat ran a small manufacturing company called Photopanel from 1976 - 1996. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Benbrook.
Survivors: He is survived his wife of 63 years, Mary Jo Corbett; sons, Dave of Benbrook, Jim and his wife, Candy, of Colleyville; grandchildren, Lon Corbett of Fort Worth, Sean Corbett of Weatherford, Matt Corbett and Katie Corbett, both of Colleyville; cousin, Marky Thornhill of Benbrook; brother-in-law, Roland Davie of Decatur; sister-in-law, Lois Cunningham of Burleson; and many nieces and nephews.
