

Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Worth Baptist Church of Fort Worth, Dr. Raymond Barber and Dr. Willie Weaver officiating. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday in Perryman Cemetery in Forestburg. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel.
Lowell was born Aug. 1, 1924, in Forestburg, to Roy and Artie Kuykendall. He had three brothers and three sisters. Lowell proudly served his country in World War II in the Army as a private first class. He received an Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three bronze stars, a Philippine Liberation Ribbon, one Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Ribbon and four overseas service bars. After an honorable discharge Lowell met and married the love of his life, Billie Richardson. They had one daughter, Jennie Laquita Spann. Throughout his life Lowell served in various management positions. In 1955, Lowell joined another army when he gave his heart and life to Jesus Christ and became a Christian soldier. Lowell faithfully served as a member of Worth Baptist Church for 40 years. In 2004 Lowell was celebrated as "Father of the Year" by his church family. Lowell was a dedicated family man not only to his wife and daughter but to many nieces and nephews. He was often titled the "favorite uncle," but was most definitely the best and favorite daddy and pa pa.
Lowell was preceded in death by his love, Billie; his parents; brothers and sisters; one nephew; and one niece.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Community Hospice of Huguley Hospice House for their untiring and faithful service to Lowell.
Survivors: He is survived by his loving daughter, Jennie Laquita Spann and husband, Frank; grandson, Frank Spann Jr. and wife, Tameko; granddaughter, Shelley Glenney and Chris; great-granddaughters, Melondy Doddy, Channing Spann, Chastity Irwin and husband, Zack; great-grandsons, Brighton Storey and Tanner Glenney; great-great-granddaughter, Azalie Spann; and soon-to-arrive great-great-grandson, Karson Irwin.
