Celebration of life: Noon Friday in the Pauline Minor Chapel of Gregory W. Spencer Funeral Directors, the Rev. W.L.D. Campbell, officiating, and the Rev. Felder Howard, eulogist. Interment: Skyvue Memorial Gardens beside her beloved husband, L.J. "Tom" Howard. Visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the family present 7 to 8 p.m.
"Aunt Lula," as she was so affectionately known, was a loyal supporter of the late Dr. Gregory W. Spencer and all of his endeavors. In the early years of the funeral home, she served as the evening hostess to the families, serving them refreshments in a grand style that only "Aunt Lula" could. She will be missed.
Survivors: Left with fond memories are her children, Aubrey (Sonny) Howard(Vertis) and Tommye Dell Scott; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
