Mr. Mallory Franklin, Jr., was born into life on January 15, 1964, the seventh of eight children of James and Laura Franklin, in Fort Worth, Texas. Mallory was affectionately known as Mal, Uncle Mal, Frank, Mr. Mallory, the Mechanic, and Daddy. He attended Como Elementary, Leonard Middle School, and graduated from Western Hills High School in 1982. He enjoyed sports while playing little league football with the Ridglea Roughnecks, baseball with the Westside Lions Little League, and various sports in high school. Above all things, Mallory had a passion and impeccable skills for working on cars and was known and seen as “The Best Mechanic in Como” among many. He was the proud owner of Mallory’s Automotive Service and Repair in Lake Como.
Mallory was the proud father of Mallory Franklin, Jr., and Landon Franklin. He continuously praised and bragged about their academic, athletic, musical success, and accomplishments to friends, family, and whomever would listen. Most importantly, he let them know how proud he was of them and how much he loved them.
He was preceded in death by his father, James A. Franklin, Sr.; mother, Laura Franklin; and brother, James A. Franklin, Jr.
Mallory leaves an abundance of perpetuated memories engraved within our minds and hearts: special friend Patrice Franklin, his loving sons, Mallory Franklin Jr., Landon Franklin; granddaughter Maddison Jae Franklin; brothers, Elder Carl Ray Franklin (Gwen), Lowell Franklin (Sylvia), Gerry Franklin (Javette), and Michael Franklin; sisters, Ann Franklin, Debbie Jones, and close nieces, nephews, and a host of many relatives and friends.
