As a young boy, he loved to play chess with his father and Risk with all his friends that would sometimes end up lasting for days. Marc also enjoyed fishing and hiking as a young man. He attended Eastern Hill High School and married his high school sweetheart Carole Ann Rush on May 23, 1981.
Together they took backpacking trips through Texas and one unforgettable trip to the Appalachian Mountains. They had a daughter, Lindsey Lee Moorhead, on March 15, 1985, in Fort Worth, Texas. In 1988, Marc and Carole divorced, and he later moved to Amarillo where he met his best friend and companion, Wanda Blackwell. Marc worked for the city of Amarillo and the Home Depot Garden Center until an accident put him on disability. He recently moved in with his mother, Marc loved his family and his long-time friends, many of which he had known since his school days.
