Margie Stidom-Martin

After her father’s premature death Margie was raised by her mother in Lubbock, Texas as well as her Aunt Mattie Earley in Temple, TX. In both cities she was a popular member of their Dunbar High Schools classes of 1963. Margie then went on the study & graduate from Texas Barber College. She pursued this career as well as other in a variety of professions throughout her very experienced career.

Always a dutiful & resourceful mother, after her husband, Billy W. Stidom’s death in a motor vehicle crash she raised her children Damon & Trinna in a God-fearing home & environment. She later married the true love of her life, Leroy Martin who embraced not only her, but her children as his own. Margie’s career spanned many phases & at the end she retired as a men’s barber/stylist with a highly loyal & loving clientele.

Margie was preceded in death by her son Damon, her mother Clara Ashley-Williams her aunt, Mattie Williams-Earley and her brother Oscar Lee Williams.

Margie is survived by her husband, Leroy Martin, daughter Trinna R. Stidom, cousins Carolyn Thornton, Rev. C.C. Peoples & family, special son Roy Jackson, and many other cousins, nieces & nephews & a multitude of loving, cherished friends, former co-workers, clients, as well as those who met her in passing yet shared a momentary laugh.
