Mark was born September 14, 1953 in Galesburg, Illinois. He graduated from Galesburg Senior High School and went on to work construction with his brothers at Schneider Brothers Construction in the Quad Cities, Illinois. Mark worked and retired from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway where he was a train dispatcher for 27 years. He retired in 2018. Mark was the youngest of 11 children.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, John D. Schneider and Geraldine Schneider. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Jack Schneider, Bernard Schneider and Gregory Schneider and 1 sister Mary Frances Schneider.
Mark is survived by his wife, Debby Jo Schneider, Daughter, Kristi Jo Helm, Son Craig Xavier Schneider, Granddaughter Kelsi Jo Helm, Grandson Braeden Xavier Schneider as well as four brothers, two sisters and multiple nieces and nephews.
