Marlene was born March 3rd, 1940 in Gilmer Texas. She passed away peacefully in her home in Burleson, Texas on August 19, 2020.
Marlene reunited in heaven with her husband Lloyd Elmo Hill; granddaughter Amanda Howard; mother and father Edith Mildred and William Marvin Ballard Sr.; and her brother William Marvin Ballard Jr.
Besides being a remarkable wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she was a great cook, prayer warrior, mentor leader, teacher and the example of a Godly woman.
Marlene loved Crafts. In her younger years she sewed many beautiful clothes. She was the leader of the Craft Club at Crowley Assembly of God Church. She crocheted many chemo caps for cancer patients and donated them to hospitals in Fort Worth.
Marlene left her legacy of love with her three daughters, Teresa Beckham, Lesa Daniel and Melissa Hill; son in-laws, Richard Beckham and David Daniel; grandchildren, Chase Scott and his wife Brooke; Neil Beckham and wife Bobbie; Brittany Walls and her husband Raymond; Ryan Creecy and his wife Morgan; Anna Womble and her husband Tim; great-grandchildren, William, Anthony and Gracie McDaniel; Mason, Eli, and Jonas Beckham; Chance and Camden Mitchell; Ryan and RJ Walls; Oliver and Winter Creecy; and sister, Maria Ballard Barnes; and sister-in-law, Pat Matteson; and many other family members.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 5 pm Sunday, August 23 at Laurel Land Funeral Home, Fort Worth. The Funeral Service will occur at 10 am Monday, August 24 at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel with Graveside Service to follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Rev. Al Crane will be officiating.
