Virginia Bledsoe was born and raised near Everman, TX. Following graduation from Everman HS in 1946, she attended North TX Agricultural College (presently UTA). She married James C. Jackson in December 1948, and they had three children: Gayle (David) Faram, Wes (Brenda) Jackson, and Holli (Greg) Davis.
Following his death, she married Edward Bledsoe in January 1963, and they remained married until his death in 2008. She participated in The Fort Worth Woman’s Club, Fort Worth Lecture Foundation, and was an avid bridge player. She and Ed loved to travel and saw much of the world together. They were members of Altamesa Church of Christ, Ridglea Country Club, and The Petroleum Club of Fort Worth.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother of 10 grandchildren: Clint, Lindsey, Justin, Christi, Sherri, Ashley, Kirk, Cole, Cade, and Savannah, all of whom she adored. She had 20 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at Laurel Land Chapel of Fort Worth at 10 a.m. April 15, 2026.
