Max Tullos

Max was born on September 17, 1931 to Guy and Audrie Tullos in Frost, TX. Max graduated from Frost High School at 16 and attended Texas Tech for 2 years before he married Peggy Hollingsworth on December 31, 1950. Max and Peggy started a family a couple of years later and had 2 daughters, Terri Tullos Kincaid and Cheryl Tullos.

Max worked at Texas Electric, where he was a lineman for many years before retiring in 1986. Max believed in working hard and enjoying life. He cherished time with his family, especially trips to the lake for water skiing adventures.

Max and his beloved wife, Peggy, enjoyed traveling with friends and creating lasting memories. He was an avid golfer and loved spending time on the course with friends, often sharing laughter and lighthearted pranks. Max valued friendship deeply and lived life to the fullest, surrounded by those he loved.

Max was preceded in death by his parents Guy and Audrie Tullos, brother Ernie Tullos, wife Peggy Tullos, daughters Terri Tullos Kincaid and Cheryl Tullos. He is survived by his brother, Jerry Tullos; his sister, Sharon Jones; grandchildren, Corey Barfield and wife Jill, Brett Barfield, Ashley Little; his great grandchildren, Jaden, Caleb and Chloe Barfield, Naomi Little; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

A Memorial service will be held at Redemption City Church on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Redemption City Church in his honor.
