Michael was born in Fort Worth, Texas on August 7, 1947 to Clifton T. and Wanda Oleta Duffee Herrington. As a young man, Michael was frequently found coloring, drawing pictures, or working with blocks and pipe fittings. He loved to play ball in the hallways and engage with others in a playful, yet slightly mischievous manner as he enjoyed hiding, then jumping out to scare staff members. As he became older and time took its toll, Michael became a quiet man who liked to keep to himself but found joy in laughing and making others laugh.
Michael was proceeded in death by his parents and various family members.
He is survived by his friends and staff members of the San Angelo State Supported Living Center, who became like family to him.
