Reverend Ralph W. Emerson pastor and gracious host, Dr. J. L. Johnson officiating. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: Friday 1 to 5 p.m. at Gregory W. Spencer Funeral Directors and at Greater Progressive Church of God in Christ 1349 E. Baltimore Avenue Friday 7-8 p.m. Survivors: His loving and devoted wife; Tessie L. Compton, children; Mary, Diane, Monroe Jr. Kyle, Stefone, Duretta and Charles Compton, 4 brothers, four sisters, 16 grandchildren,37 great-grandchildren 4 great-great-grandchildren other relatives and friends.
